This months submission for Rock the Shot's Motherhood challenge is the one I took of my friend Hilary and her daughter. Hilary and her daughter have this connection that just draws people to stare, they are either always holding hands, snuggled up together or laughing with one another, their beauty is also captivating.
I chose this picture because this was not a posed shot, I was standing by them pretending to capture daddy and baby but I was actually capturing a beautiful moment between mommy and daughter, as seen here. This picture literally makes my heart melt and that is why I chose to edit it in more of a rosy blend, Hilary has amazing red hair and bringing out more of the red tones only made sense to me because they also make me blush. Recently met the beautiful Leslie and her oh so handsome son, Armando. What a fun session we had in the River Market, Kansas City. His outfit was perfect for the setting and his pictures turned out great due to him being just the cutest thing ever!! Enjoy some of my favorite shots from the day.
I love how these pictures turned out, you can really see the emotion in all of them. We have baby Lucas who is 2 weeks old and then precious 6 year old Haleigh. I'm also using my new lens, my Nikon 50mm 1.4 and oh my! the picture quality paired with my D800 is amaze-balls! I have 4 more shoots in the next 2 weeks and I'm uber excited!
