​Don't be hesitant about getting pictures taken of yourself, the benefits of seeing yourself through a professional photographers eyes is an incredibly helpful part of building an identity that is secure and self-defined.

Seeing yourself through professional photography is different than what you see when someone takes a candid of yourself. There really is an art to posing and candids, well they usually feature us in the most unflattering of poses. Granted we need these candid memories and ALL photos are valuable but we don't always love the way we look in photos and it makes us think, geez, is that how I really look to the world? Again this could be just me because I'm incredibly hard on myself but what I've learned is when you feel good, it doesn't matter how you looked in that candid where you have 6 chins and laughing hysterically. What matters is how you feel, on the inside.

So here's my point/opinion, sometimes you need that extra push to feeling good about yourself and having your hair and makeup done by a professional and then working with a photographer that understands different poses and the art to it can truly help give you the confidence to say to yourself "this is who I am and this is what I look like and I look great!". Don't we all need to feel this way about ourselves? sometimes we need a day to ourselves to reconnect and discover more of our beauty.

Survey I read online (you know because everything online is true) is that 65% of women surveyed said they don't like the way they look in pictures... this is why you need me, to help change that opinion of yourself.

Don't forget, you are worth it, you are worth it right now, whatever chapter in life you are in right now, you are worth it, right now. Don't wait until you lose weight, don't wait until you have a tan...you are worth it right now, as you are! :)

Every year around Christmas time I post my upcoming years senior model applications on all of my social media. Within one week the response was amazing! I read each application thoroughly and then called them in to sit down and chat. After meeting with many upcoming seniors and their parents, I made my decision on an amazing group of 12!

​I don't know how many of you are like me but I DID NOT love my wedding pictures and a lot of it is my fault. 

Could be because I felt rushed the entire day, maybe I didn't like how my makeup turned out or maybe I felt chubby from staying up too late after the rehearsal dinner the night before. Regardless, images bring back feelings and when I look at me in my wedding dress, the feeling that comes back is yuck...plain ol' YUCK...

I spent a lot of money on the most beautiful dress I had ever seen, the venue was perfect, everyone there was happy and having fun and I even had an amazing time but the pictures of me in my dress were not my favorite...not one bit.

HERE'S MY POINT TO THIS POST 😉

WELL...I thought, wouldn't it be amazing if you could get your wedding dress back out, have your hair and makeup done by professionals and then have your pictures taken in a very laid back and relaxing setting? I have talked to many women that have said "YESSSS!" to having a redo! 

Granted we are not redoing the wedding day but this is a way of memorializing you and your beautiful gown in a more relaxed way. You can pair it up with a hat, jacket, anything! Be creative, let's have fun with this!

When I asked Makiah where she would like her senior session, she responded with Steak n' Shake and I couldn't have been more excited!! We then set out to gather the perfect outfit that would match the decor and then we headed out! I absolutely love how the pictures turned out, probably one of my all time favorites.
