Behind the Lens
Hi! My name is Robin Addleman and I am the photographer behind West Elm Photography. Many ask how I got my name for West Elm Photography and it's quite simple but first no, I did not name it after the furniture store on the Plaza. Even though I do love to shop there! I named my photography almost 8 years ago while sitting to the right of an elm tree...so there you have it, West Elm...I told you it was pretty simple.
I grew up a tom boy with messy hair and dirty hands from Grand Prairie, TX. If I wasn't climbing a tree or riding my bike through puddles then I was playing Skeletor of He-Man and arguing with my mom about taking baths. Luckily for her, I grew up into a princess that has to have her nails done every two weeks. ha!
I have a passion and thirst for portrait photography and I'm constantly thinking of ways to perfect my trade. As a nurse for 15+ years I find a similar kind of care in photography that I did in taking care of people. I strive to help raise self esteem and to genuinely help people feel better about themselves. Nothing is more gratifying that seeing someone see themselves through my lens.
These days we all know someone with a camera and I would be honored you chose me to capture you being you. I strive to give every client 100% and walk you through the entire process so collectively we produce excellent images.
One more thing, I'm goofy and always try to bring out the best in my clients...always.
Thanks for stopping by,
