Oh how I loved my time with Audrey and her mom Paige, they were so easy to work with and trusted my creativity completely when shuffling them around town. Thank you! Enjoy all the images from her session!

Recently I had the pleasure of photographing Miss Ashley and meeting her mom Kara. So thrilled that they both picked me to capture Ashley for her senior portraits, I LOVE how they turned out! Here are the favorites from their ordering session. Enjoy! I must admit I'm not a good blogger, I never know what title to put on articles or even what to write about. Funny thing is, I have plenty to say in person but my blogs more or less stink because I get writers block. So here goes another short sentence to go with my pictures...
Enjoy some recent head shots I had the privilege of taking for a runner up for teacher of the year for the state of Kansas, yahoo! Talk to you again soon, Robin It's almost time for the busiest season of the year! I've been preparing for months and have so many ideas and plans for not only my senior rep team but for all my awesome seniors!
Here's a cutie I had the pleasure of photographing recently, she will be graduating from SMU in a couple months, you go girl! I always look forward to the slower months but recently they haven't been slow at all! I'm not complaining though!
Enjoy of what's been keeping me busy. :) Sometimes it's hard to find your confidence in photography because everyone owns a camera and everyone knows a "photographer". I not only love what I do but it is my profession and I am constantly striving to be the best I can and each photo shoot in my opinion is teaching me to become better and better. Here is my most recent photo and I'm so proud of myself and how far I have come. This picture has helped me with my confidence in knowing that I'm not just another person that owns a camera but an artist and a professional. I can now pick up my camera and know what to do where as before i had to pause myself and really think about the situation, but now it's becoming easier and easier. yay for me! not sure any of this made sense but hey, so what, who cares. lol #tootmyownhorn #someonehasto overland park senior photographer, archie mo senior photographer, lee's summit senior photographer love the mood and lighting in this b/w image aww the sun flare. love. "sorry not sorry"
Hi there! Please answer 100% honest, this is the only way I can improve in areas that may need improvement. You can always be real with me so remember, you will not be hurting my feelings. Love ya and thank you for taking the time. Once upon a time on a cold winters day I was blessed with the most beautiful girl ever, I shall call this beautiful girl Carolyne...because that's her name yo. ha! Did It sound like a fairy tail at first?
Well I'm not joking! Carolyne is a senior at Nevada HS in Missouri and she is freckled, long legged, sweet as can be and has a very low sultry voice, she's quite amazingly awesome in every way. Couldn't be more thrilled that she drove the hour to see me! blushing Enjoy some of my favorites... Hi there! I'm so busy but enjoy my very short blog...I'll post more in December and show you all the awesome seniors I've been photographing!
Hi! I have been working my tail off recently and loving every second because I'm working with awesome seniors! Here are just some of the pretty faces I've been working with lately.
I have seriously tried to post something once a month since I started photography and I'm starting to think that I could post a picture of poo and no one would see it. LOL! Oh well, I like being consistent so I will continue to post.
Here are a few people I've had the pleasure of photographing recently and if you are reading this, feel free to leave a comment, would love to know if anyone else beside me reads these things. :) I'm becoming more and more busy with these beautiful seniors, have I mentioned how lucky I am?! Wow! check out my current beauties.
Robin :) SO I've been super busy with senior sessions and loving every minute of it! There's something about seeing your senior smile and really engage with the camera, I love capturing their true selves, silly or not, I love it all. Here are some seniors I'm finishing up galleries for now.
Enjoy! Not only is Jacey the kindest thing ever but she is the most gorgeous thing ever! She also brought me flowers to the session, I mean who does that?! Love this girl and love that I was the one to take her senior pictures. She is also a senior rep! Man, I'm lucky!
On Sunday May 22nd I had my senior rep event, an event I had been planning for a couple months. I really wanted the girls and one guy one to have a great time and walk away with some cool freebies. Each girl and the one guy that had already scheduled received an awesome t-shirt, the others will get theirs at the day of their session but they ALL left with so much more! Rachel from Rachel Meredith Photography is my awesome makeup artist (I claim her) lined their freebie bags with candy and makeup accessories, thanks Rachel!
The event was held at Fringe and Folk in Harrisonville and Cassie was more than generous with her discounts for the girls and the one guy if he wanted something. Thanks Cassie! Check out some of the photos from the event and check out my awesome team! I can't wait to get started on their sessions! June is going to be a busy month! Prom mini's were a success, big thanks to Jacey, Nicholas, Lexie, Dakota, Shylla, Jon, Bailey, Austin, Hannah and Hunter!
Enjoy! Met with these two love birds to photograph their cut country engagement session and I get to photograph the wedding next spring too! eek!
Met with Ronnie and Kurt to photograph their engagement session in the Crossroads of Kansas City. I will be photographing their wedding next year too! Eek! :)
Photography is an art of observation. It has little to do with the things you see and everything with the way you see them.
It took me a great while to find exactly what I love about photography, was it the smiles of happy customers when they see their pictures? sure that is always nice, but that wasn't everything, my heart was still missing something. The first few years you stumble through the motions, taking pictures, collecting money, inspiration comes from other photographers ideas and rarely your own. After years of practicing and constantly being consumed with creating the perfect photo, you one day realize you have, even if you are the only one who thinks so, It's what that one picture did to your soul that has suddenly made you feel whole. That one picture happened a year ago after 5 years of photography and now I create the same each time I photograph a person. It's not just the picture itself, It's the raw emotion, wind blown locks, creative freedom and making a client comfortable so you can bring out their inner and outer beauty, THAT is what I create for me. Simple is that but you also find your own way of editing images that are yours and yours only. I can say I truly have found what makes me tick and it's YOU, I love finding and bringing out YOU. Something so minor but the feeling photography gives me after seeing a finished product literally makes my soul content and happy. Thank you for reading, I'm not always the best with thinking of things to post along with a picture, but today was different, thank you for your time. ~Robin |
